-Millennials whine, no old pilots whine
-1st year As may have to find their old 3 stripe epaulets.

Lets look at the positives:
-Net gain of 100 WB captains, with 63 of them at the highest rate on property.
-Commitment by Delta to put a WB base back in MSP, reversing the long term shrinking trend.
-411 NB captains (net gain of 100) on airplanes where the ramp is actually WARMER than the cockpit in the summer.
-62 WB FOs with a net gain of (only) 2 at the highest rate.
-Thousands of OE hours over the next 365 days means lots of LCA bidding, even with the crappy C15 rules.
-Despite the efficiencies gained by our data driven management, the 1200 projected training events equates to 100 pilots per month that are in training vs flying. That means JOBS.
This is exactly why I let the dust settle and don't chime in immediately. Great post.

The dust doesn't settle until the AE results come out.

Nobody has any idea as to what will be backfilled and what won't.

I usually find after the dust settles that crew resources newsletters were full of ****.

So you read them because:
1. You like to show your superior intellect when they have a change of plans?
2. You love to disparage your fellow employees?
3. You are a glutton for punishment?
4. You have all the answers and we will just consult you in the future instead of reading the crew resources drivel?
5.???????

Do I pick a multiple guess answer or maybe you have one of your own?

I take anything that comes from crew resources with a grain of salt. Everything is subject to change and change seems to be the rule rather than the exception.

Why do people believe them when they say no more AE's until 1Q2019 when they've also said there will be more frequent AE's when that has been show to be fake news. They said NYC and then LAX for the C10 and turns out to be NYC and SLC on the same AE.

I will not be surprised to see 2 more AE's this year.

When a new category opens (C10), can you break your seat lock to bid it? Reference?
