Default Cancelled Flights?

I was just wondering if Delta participates in Flight Aware. Delta hasn't shown any cancelled flights for last couple days since I started looking at that feature. I would think with today's weather in ATL you'd have some? For example AA had 60 and UAL around 18 for today 6/25/18.

Are you guys that reliable where you can keep the operation going?

This place is a freaking machine. They'll run it.

We've run weeks without cancelling a flight.

They'll go to great lengths to avoid cancelling, even when most other airlines almost certainly would have. From time to time you'll see flights like this one:

Last year flew as a revenue pax on a flight from IND-ATL delayed for a significant storm. Departure was 1500. After 2300, told us to come back in the AM. 0900, the flight departed with the same flight number, half full. Strange thing was another oversold flight at the next gate departing to ATL at the same time. They wouldn’t allow any pax from the oversold flight to get on the 18 hour “delayed” flight.

Kinda like saying “When I go to Vegas, I never lose when I play blackjack. I just pay a sh1tload for the drinks.”

Although that happens, it's quite rare.

I bet if you looked at a list of all the 3000+ mainline flights per day you'd find ~5 that were delayed more than a couple hours, on an average day where weather doesn't decimate one of the hubs.

Extremely pro-active about equipment substituting in a 320/737/etc. for a broken/delayed 717/88/320 et al.

A couple months ago we MX delayed 6 hours DFW to ATL. Took off at 0100 local with one passenger. PAs were fun..”John, please return to your seat”...”Thanks for flying Delta, John!”

Similar story on a 7 hour delayed TYS-ATL flight. One buddy pass rider was with us at 1a. FAs had her in first and gave her the full (if you can call it that for a 30 minute flight) service.

"We hoped you enjoyed your Delta Private Jet experience".

Commuting recently and noticed at my commute airport the DL flight that was schedule to arrive at 11pm the previous night was arriving at 0930am the following morning. So while it wasn't canceled, I suspect the customers perception was just the same as if it had been.
