AE Tool - Unrestricted Access
We have received a bunch of requests to make the AE Tool available for all bid periods, including Current/Future month bid periods.
While Current/Future months are normally only accessible by subscribing members, we want to make sure everyone has the best information possible when analyzing a potential new category. To that end, all Delta pilots now have full access to the AE Tool through the closing of the bid window on July 13th for FREE: AE Tool - Analyze your next category As a reminder, the AE Tool can be used in many different ways to analyze a category. However, the most useful technique for most pilots is: 1. Select a bid period/category combination to open a bid package 2. Apply the “Awarded Seniority” filter 3. This will show you all rotations that were awarded to pilots junior to your seniority # This is the fastest way to see exactly what type of trips you could have held in any given bid period. AE BONUS - Swap Tool Discount We have also gotten a number of emails from pilots who missed out on our launch sale for the Swap Tool. If you haven’t tried it yet, the Swap Tool has allowed hundreds of Delta pilots to supercharge their Swap w/ Pot requests - and ultimately fly better trips. If you missed out on the Swap Tool launch sale back in the spring, now is your chance to get access to the Swap Tool at a discount*. Just used code JULYBONUS at checkout to knock 15% off any of the subscriptions. New subscribers also have 7 day trial, to give it a test drive. Swap Tool 15% Discount *Coupon code expires after the first PCS run for August (i.e. 0700ET on 7/20). Don’t miss out Happy AE Bidding and Fly Safe! |

Avg Daily Credit Carryout Credit Check-in Time Check-out Time Domestic/Int'l Layover City Layover Duration Pairing Length |

Seniority filter only works for months already awarded so not for August yet.

It should be directly below Avg Daily Credit

I tried the site, thanks for giving us a taste! I like the option to look at trips available to pilots at your seniority and below, it confirmed my choice in an MD option.

I also like to use the Awarded Seniority filter after the PBS awards come out each month, to quickly see what pilots behind me were awarded. It makes it easy to see if/how you might have bid better, so you can improve next month. Enjoy your next category! |

I am trying out the Swap Tool and have a question. Does the tool update real time as the open trips (and my schedule) change? The only trips it let me "drop" are old ones that I swapped out of earlier in the month. And the recommended trip it offered me was not currently available in open time. Am I missing an option to sync and update my schedule, or is it just geared for fixing the initial award? Thanks!
No, the Swap Tool does not update/sync to your schedule. The rotations you see on the "Drop" screen are pulled once a month (from the PBS composite report) and are just provided as a convenience to speed up entry into the program. This is because we do not have approval from Flight Ops/IT to log into iCrew on behalf of other pilots. Actually, we have been specifically told NOT to do so. To overcome this limitation, there is a manual entry field on the same screen. Just enter a valid rotation/date combo and the Swap Tool will pickup from the same spot, recommending rotations that you might want to swap into. As for Open Time, the Swap Tool does not really have anything to do with current Open Time. The point is to queue up a Swap w/ Pot request that has as many rotations from the bid package that you would prefer to fly. Then your request is looked at during each PCS run, effectively putting you in place to get a swap if/when one of those rotations does hit open time. A key to this is each PCS run has 2 loops. So if another pilot drops one of your requested rotations on the first loop, you are in position to get it on the second loop. In this case the rotation would never be visible in Open Time because you picked it up right away during the same PCS run. This gives you a leg up on pilots that are watching manually; even those that check after every PCS run. Hope that explanation helps. |
