Enjoy the center seat DH.

After that nap, you might be more capable of logic. Comparing this to VBs and throwing out the number 40 whilst comparing this issue to that is a double red herring. (Look that up.) Sure, some people want a SIL, but the contract is the contract. If Mgmt won't follow it, I want a union that has the backbone to make it happen.

Sheesh, without backbone, we might just have folks running SLI out of seniority. Oh wait. Nevermind.

The posting of SILs needs to be with the concurrence of the scheduling chairman. The scheduling chairman did not give his consent for August SILs, but the company went ahead with the SILs anyways.

I guess management forgot to check with the scheduling chairman. It happens, ever leave the gate without checking your fuel? VBs pulled, SILs, things are getting interesting.

Did you see the weekly update put out by SD or are you ignorant of the facts? There was no forgetting, management had "a different interpretation" of the LOA. An interpretation so ridiculous it made Bill Clinton debating the meaning of the word "is" seem reasonable. Am I missing some sarcasm here or are you really making excuses for management's flagrant disregard of the contract? Mind you, both Sam and Scott voted to pull down the SILs, hell even Sailingfun said he agreed with the vote. Siding with management on this one puts you in a very special minority of pilots.

It’s pretty hard to argue the definition of concurrence.

If by things are getting interesting you mean “we are standing up for ourselves” you’re correct, and it’s about time.

Hopefully the line has been drawn with JVs as well. Maybe the company can bring a bat and glove to the game and play ball. We can’t continue to just roll over, especially in good times.
