IVD For Aug

Can I put in an IVD now for August and expect it to get awarded assuming the criteria is met? Or do IVDs not get looked at until the first 20th PCS for the next bid period? Also, is there a way to see if the PCS had run yet? For instance, has the 1700 daily PCS run yet?

If you have a PCS request pending, you can check on the status of the request in iCrew. I think you use F4 or click the "deny" button for the latest status. It will show the time of the latest PCS run and your results.

It won't be looked at until the 0700 PCs run on the 20th

I know nothing about IVDs. Can I use one to drop a one day trip and if so how do I do it? Plenty of reserve coverage.

Deleted because I am not sure of my prior answer!

You are wrong. Ivd processes just like an apd. Can do up to a total of 4 days on 2 separate occasions.

IVD’s are exactly the same thing as APD’s except you get paid a day of vacation for it.

And they’re a great flexibility tool, don’t mess with it except increase pay.

Yes. You have to decide if you want to burn a IVD for something that you could drop with a regular PD.

IVDs will pay a vacation day, 3:30 or possibly 3:45 depending on your vacation situation. So if you are dropping a 7 hour turn there is a big pay hit. And you will essentially get less vacation pay in the future so it really depends on how much you want to work in the months in question.

You do it via PCS just like any drop.

I think you can either pull from the front of a future vacation block in the same vacation year OR buy IVDs with hours from the bank (up to 4 in either case total).

Can I use an IVD on an off day to simply boost my pay up, or is it only to drop a trip?

For example, I have a one day trip and then a day off. Can I use 2x IVD's there? One to drop the turn, one to simply add 3:30 of pay?

Finally, do IVD requests have to be in by the 20th, or can they be processed on subsequent PCS runs later in the month?
