That might be a really good idea. I wonder if he's signed nondisclosure/noncompete clauses which would prohibit him taking that job.

He likely did. But that would most likely apply to him taking work at another airline. Working for ALPA wouldn't be as a "competitor" of Delta.

I’d also wonder about egos. The MEC put him on inactive status, would they now eat crow and seek his expertise? If asked would he let bygones be bygones and take the job?

It's pretty standard at airlines to have that... my question is does inactive mean he stopped having to pay dues? In that case he might've been really happy with the change.

Off subject, but on perusing the ALPA magazine (Aug), I notice one of the Washington dollies (pp.37) is sporting a four button horse blanket, is that new or is she just freestylin'?:D

You got me; page 17 shows standard issue sans waffle house tie.
Maybe it was a mix up in the layout department and it was suppossed to be in the "see-what's-different" section ala Highlights magazine. :D
