ANR Headset Power on Airbus
Do our Airbus planes provide power through the XLR 5 headset jack? I'm looking for a new headset and it would be nice to not carry around batteries. I'm currently on Boeing but will probably end with Airbus in a few years.

On the 330 the answer is no. The fifth pin is unpowered.

The Telex 850 works on the 320 series. I don't think it's a very good headset tho. The DC ProX has much better ANC and sound quality. Worth dealing with batteries IMO.

Don't forget the F/A's, they always have extra batteries.

The answer is no. Airbus does not power the ANR function, you'll need batteries. But headsets still work without batteries, but just as a regular style headset, the ANR part will be off.

Telex 850 ANR is definitely powered on A319/320/321 plug.
