Best source to better use PBS???

Stupid question but here goes....So I'm senior and usually get want I want but I don't think really use PBS like I could. I never use separate Bid Groups, Clear Schedule and restart etc. I just look at individual trips (Monday/Tues trips >24 hrs. and put them on individual lines) What is the best resource to learn these things?

Thanks

There used to be some really awesome videos on youtube, but those have since disappeared for some odd reasons. There are a few videos on the Crew Resources & Scheduling under PBS help videos, unfortunately they didn't bring over the really solid videos from the youtube page. Other than that check out Delta PBS information. The PBS gouge PDF is a pretty good document with lots of examples.

Where did those YouTube videos go and why did they go away? They were somewhat useful.

I think if you are really senior and can get the exact trips you want that is generally the best and safest way to bid. Most of that other stuff is for the guys who can not successfully pick specific trips.

Perhaps the scheduling committee quitting had something to do with it.

You might look at how others are bidding and try to figure out why. It will help if you know whether the guys is a commuter or not, etc.

You can see everyone's bid and results after the results are out.

Unfortunately the most effective teaching tool is suffering through a bid that you created. But no pain, no gain etc. etc.

The most effective tool if your senior is easybid. Put it in line format. Put a few discriminators in to bring the good trips to the top. Click on the ones you want. Delete the discriminators and click send. So easy a cave man can do it!

Correct me if I’m wrong but Easybid is only windows based. Us Mac iOS peeps are left out.

You can use several programs to run easybid on a Mac. You can also spend 99 dollars like I did on a new Windows laptop to run easybid. If you still have your surface it will also run easybid.
