Jumpseat
Why is it first come, first serve for the jump regardless of the airline? I know OO has priority on their metal. CP the same on theirs. Outside of that QX, OO, CP, DL, AS, doesn't matter.
Alaska/Horizon have priority of the JS on their planes, no matter what Delta, United, Skywest, Compass pilot is listed first. They'll bump us from the JS just by showing up last minute.
But the same is not true for Delta colors. Trying to go home on Skywest, at the gate 65 min prior, someone from Horizon already listed, they went home, I'm still here.
Why wouldn't Delta colors take care of their own?

I believe the agent was in error. You should have been boarded ahead of a Horizon pilot. Please call the jumpseat coordinator so they can get the word to SkyWest agents.
Edit: I assume since you say Delta colors this flight was operated for Delta.

Each company flying for Delta will have different priority for each JS agreement. The pilots of the plane can reference their FOM for proper priority. At least is has been this way at each of the 3 airlines I have worked for.

Don't know who you work for but you should have jumpseat section in your FOM with the priority list. Mine show DL/DCI have priority over offline. The computer will sort it out but If the gate agent didn't list you and just said "it's taken" you got hosed.

agent screwed it up....I had someone from skywest send me a screen shot of their jumpseat list in their manual because i've had the same problem before...for delta flights it says:
Skywest Pilots
Expressjet Pilots
delta/delta connection pilots by order of check in
oal pilots
Skywest Pilots
Expressjet Pilots
delta/delta connection pilots by order of check in
oal pilots

Not sure if skywest has changed their FOM, but I've been burned a few times. Computer at the gate will put me over a gojet guy, but skywest FOM shows differently. Not sure if it's anyone first come first serve, or DL/DCI gets priority. Go post in the skywest thread and ask them.
I do find it annoying that on a Delta flight operated by skywest, we are S3B1 or something. So a skywest ramper hired yesterday gets a seat before you. All I can figure is I guess they pay for their own fuel and own the plane. Either way, you'd think it would be a brand thing.

I doubt that's the case anymore. IIRC it only ever was on their "at risk" flying which currently does not include DL branded livery flights/code. If they do "buy" the fuel that's not at all relevant if we automatically reimburse 100% of it after the fact anyway.

On a side note, hoping not to hijack. Postive space to training, etc. boards with the new Main 1, after premium, ec, sky members. Which is most of the airplane.
In the past, I remembered, prem, ec then zone 1. In any event, I was scrambling to find a place for a small roller. Maybe I'm not remembering correctly.
