757 Jumpseat, 1 or 2?

Greetings, I’m in RSW right now trying to jumpseat and the gate agent said there is only one Jumpseat in the 757.

All of the UA 757s have two. Does Delta indeed have only one?

I JS out of there fairly often and I’ve only ever seen one JS. I do think some of ours have two but no idea how to tell which ones.

Thanks for the quick reply.

The only ones Witt two JS’s are the ex TWA birds that are on the transcon routes. Those have tail numbers ending in TW. Other than That, all of our 75’s just have 1 JS.... we can sit in the FA Jumpseat it it is not taken. Don’t be afraid to ever ask a pilot to help out!

Looks like we picked up 5 757s from Shanghai Airlines in 2015-2016. There are 18 757s that have 2 jumpseats in them. Tails 6801-6818. These new ones are tails 6819-6823. I don't know if they have 2 jumpsuits in them or not.

The Shanghai 757s do indeed have 2 jump seats. The 757s with 2 jumpseats are most easily identified by the small emergency exit door aft of the wing in lieu of the 2 hatches over the wings. I'm not sure if its 100% fool proof but it's a good rule of thumb.

Edit: If you're looking at seat maps I believe it's the 75S (former TWA birds, Delta One seating, primarily on transcons) and the 75G (former Shanghai birds, used throughout the domestic system) that have 2 jumpseats.

It’s best to check the ship attributes to confirm, but it is true that our TWA and Shanghai’s have 2.

I was assuming our fellow Davedave was an OAL otherwise he could use MiCrew to determine how many jumpseats are available.
