I have a guarantee, it’s called the PWA. It says how my employer will handle my employment. The discussion is about improving that guarantee.
Stop dumping on your coworkers that are suggesting ways to improve QOL at work. There are a lot of ideas and they should be considered. Try considering what you would like to see improved and then provide that to the union so they know what issues are important to the pilot group.
Let’s get an improved contract for the group. Let’s also get teeth in it to put an end to the company's violations.

How good was that 'guarantee' post-9/11? All I'm saying is that this is a fickle business, and things happen that you or anyone may not anticipate.
I'm all for contractual gains but to believe they are set in stone is naive.

You’re right, they aren’t written in stone. You’re also right that 9/11 and other events changed a lot of “guarantees.” You’re wrong to compare that type of event to an incredibally profitable company willfully violating the contract they agreed to because it suits them, though. Apples to llamas.
You’re also wrong to dump on people who are voicing ideas to improve the contract prior to negotiations. What’s the point to your actions? Is it a troll game or are you showing off your “sizable” business knowledge?

I hope you and everyone else here are voting for politicians who are sympathetic to organized labor and who support judges who are also not biased against labor. The rules do apply, what changes is how laws are created, interpreted and implemented.

I understand ups and downs. I also understand bankruptcy, I’ve been at a bankrupt employer. I’ve been affected by recessions and law changes. So have a lot of other people. I know they aren’t set in stone and can be adjusted by bankruptcy and negotiations. They should not be adjusted by one party just because they don’t want to comply.

Lots of you arbitrating right and wrong here. I looked at your post history, you did it an awful lot of that on the Endeavor forum, as well as more than your share of trolling and ‘dumping on others’. Look up psychological projection, then look in a mirror.
Next spring ALPA will send me my 30 year pin, I’ve worn a silver one for 5 of those years. You trying to lecture me on unionism is a joke. Go back to the regional forums where you’re a slightly bigger fish in a much smaller pond.

Duly noted. I’ll replace the sunglasses with some readers, and lose the gel to baldness. You should look into the backpack though, it’s a great place to keep backpills, bengay, and an extra length shoehorn.
