If you are specifying trips, it's one per WS with a 16WS max. Depending on category, you may create blanket WS with parameters that will filter the specific trips without identifying them by number.

If you live in base, you can create a blanket WS for the trips that pop up in open time for next day flying. In both domestic and international categories the 0xxx trips tend to be better than the ones originally built to fill the bid pack. If you can pick up trips with one or two days notice, you might get better trips.

One tactic is to leave part of the month open for picking up good deals on short notice, while still having a few trips on your schedule as a backstop. Some guys leave the beginning of the month open and if successful, begin dropping trips off the back end. It is heavily dependent on the category, staffing and personal flexibility.

You are correct. Page 163 of the scheduling reference handbook covers this. Easier because I only have 2 trips fro the month, but my personal drop page had 3 priorities. 1st is both trips, 2nd is the first trip and 3rd is the last trip.

I pretty much drop my entire schedule every month this go fishing in the open time board for better trips. It's great to get trips I actually want and work days I want. Most months I end up with more pay while working the same (or less) amount of days.

My question is this, will the PCS drop the first trip on the slip and then stop or will it drop as much as the system allows?

I also have sorted out about 35 rotations I would like to pickup using flightcrewtools.....can I put them all on one slip for WS or should I do them each separately?

If individual rotations don't pick up at the PCS via the WS I put in, I'll go manually sort through the swap board and open time and pickup as my schedule allows.

Never done it, so any input as how not to completely bone myself would be appreciated!
You need to sign up for easybid and use their various options to submit your whiteslips and swaps and get text messages when trips are placed in open time.

Wish I saw this before the PCS run. I was denied all drops because of capped reserve days. All of my trips but one have double the required. The one day trip I'm trying to drop has 12 of 13. I just learned there is a "FWD" button to add additional preferences....I thought you could only put in 2 at a time. Live and learn.....

Negative, I was just commenting on the irony of once being able to have no schedule, and get paid. Grasshopper, it is not time for you to leave. Probably miss that reference too.

I’m sure you meant to put “whatever the company wanted to offer” instead of 50 hours, right?

40 is greater than 0 no?

Is 25?

How much are the KLOA’s paying?

What did the mec get in return for showing they had the big stick in this instance? Same thing with VB’s. I’m not saying they shouldn’t have eventually killed one or both, but why not try to extract some permanent mid-contract value in exchange for a month or two of VBs and/or SILs?

All bravado and no brain. We really showed ‘em.
