Dropping whole month

My schedule is just that bad, so I'm going to try to drop everything and pickup as things come up. Big risk, I get it. So, I put all the trips on the swap board for p/u and just put through as well as a drop of rotation for each trip tomorrow at the PCS. My question is this, will the PCS drop the first trip on the slip and then stop or will it drop as much as the system allows?

I also have sorted out about 35 rotations I would like to pickup using flightcrewtools.....can I put them all on one slip for WS or should I do them each separately?

If individual rotations don't pick up at the PCS via the WS I put in, I'll go manually sort through the swap board and open time and pickup as my schedule allows.

Never done it, so any input as how not to completely bone myself would be appreciated!

When you whiteslip do them on individual requests. When you drop multiple rotations I think it is an all or nothing thing if you put them the same drop request(I could be wrong). Or you can do one at a time. The swap board is also a great tool for dropping especially for good trips..Right now it is VERY difficult to whiteslip good trips(broken up) on narrowbody fleets because the company is covering most flying that pops up with reroutes.

Assume you want a basic blanket white slip for a 3-6 day trip with check in no earlier than 1200 and no later block in than 1800 with a minimum credit of 21 hours (high credit 3 day only). Suppose you put that in for April 23-30. Will it award you a 6 day trip that starts on the 30th and carries over into May?

Also, if I want to drop a trip and swap with pot, in that screen can I say Drop Rotation #1 and add Rotation #2 or #3 or #4 or is the logic of the swap with pot screen Drop rotation 1 and add 2 and 3 and 4?

Too bad we got rid of the deal where you could do that and get paid 50 hours.

Must be fleet specific as that has not been my experience at all. Plenty of good one and two day trips going out. I’ve never had an issue filling up on them. Need to live in base though because, by their nature, good broken trips are short notice.

good luck trying to drop the whole schedule. I've tried that before and its hard especially when coverage is horrible.

I checked the coverage for the month and it looks pretty good across the board. Subject to change tomorrow morning, of course.

Last month I put all of mine on the swap board and they were picked up before the 20th. It was really nice starting with a blank line for the first PCS run.

Too bad you don't know how to read for content. He said he didn't like his schedule, was going to dump it, and pick up more time. He didn't say he wants the month off so he can handle personal business.

Wow, what a great deal! A company could go broke and declare bankruptcy doing things like that! Wait, what........
