Resurrecting SWA listing problems..

I’ve been trying to for 2 days to list on swa. I keep getting a “general booking error”. I’ve tried windows, macs, iPhones, cache clearing etc. Jumpseat committee said they could list, but I can’t still for some reason. Anyone ever find a fix to this? Can’t risk going to the gate to hope they can list me since backup flight is pretty far away.

The last time that happened to me I ended up just going to the gate. As it turned out every time I got that error it actually listed me so I showed up on their computer like 20 times. I never got a confirmation email or PNR number but apparently it went through and I got on with no issues. Hopefully that's the case with you.

When your creating a listing, under departure, change the time to anything but “00:00”.
It’s sometimes created an error during the final booking phase when it was left on “00:00”. I have absolutely no idea why this works.

Jesus, dude. Just quit already.

Thanks for the input. Flight ended up canceling anyways, but I chuckle at the thought of how many times I’m listed on that particular flight.

ALPA is presently working with WN to create an alternate means for listing offline jumpseaters.

The JS committee(s) and WN are well aware of the ongoing problems with MyIDListing. Southwest cares quite deeply about commuters making flights. I can say with full honesty that I’ve seen more Southwest pilots make the walk to check for jumpseaters, than I have fellow ALPA carriers in Atlanta.

Our “union” is out of town helping Deus’ Union with scope.
To all of you not named deUs, sorry. Many of us walk, making sure he is the only one left behind.

SWAPA sent a blast to their pilots yesterday about the jumpseat issue.
I have nothing but respect for the SWA pilots and they have IMO one of the best guys running SWAPA, i'm sure they'll work it out.

As someone who relies heavily on SWA to commute, I greatly appreciate the effort the pilot group is putting in!
