Far/aim

The FAR/AIM used to be in the content locker but now there is just a link which works great in flight when we do not have internet access.

Non problem I will just go to the DELTANET and download it like I used to - oops its not there either.

Anyone know what is going on with the FAR/AIM and how to download a copy to have available in flight?

Thanks Scoop

I think we cancelled the subscription.

When I did my OE a couple of weeks ago I asked the LCP about the FAR/AIM. He said since it’s not regulatory Delta has no responsibility to maintain it for us. So, they removed it from the content locker.

I bought the FAR/AIM app a few years ago for my iPhone and it’s a one time fee With free annual updates.

Yep, they sent out a note in one of the weekly updates, or somewhere like that. They had a subscription/license for the FAR/AIM. But they chose not to renew it. So it got pulled off.

Mad Dog to blame

The problem was started by the fact that the the -88 guys started running the APU on hot days (thanks to the efforts here on APC). Everybody was happy except one bean counter on VA ave. He saw the increased apu burn on the 88 fleet and started searching for all of flt ops expenditures he could cut. Couldn’t find anybody in the office that knew what FAR-AIM even was so he axed the subscription.

Conclusions:
1. Once again the 88 guys are to blame.

2. Don’t worry about sweat on your next 88 deadhead.

3. Cancel your gold bond subscription and get a FAR AIM app subscription instead.
