Perhaps you should ask nodeskjob. He is the one that said he would be open to it depending on the working arrangements.

Absolutely no way to airport reserve. Trapped in the airport for hours suited up ready to go, no thanks. Greenslips and short call reserves work just fine.

My biggest reserve change, is I want ANY short call to be 1 hour (or more if we can get it) above reserve guarantee.

Before the 9 hour reserve, I would maybe do 2 short calls a month.

Since then, 5-7 depending on what they can do. I'm always max or max-1 on SC.

I have been used ONCE in probably 70+ short calls.

Lol. Used one time in 70+ short calls and still upset?! If I could get that low of utilization I'd be yellow slipping short calls everyday.

Good for you. Imagine if you got paid an hour or add pay each time you did that. Wouldn't that be much better?

Also, if you were a commuter I doubt you'd be yellow slipping them. Unless you hate being at home and would rather commute in to sit around in a crashpad/crew lounge.

Exactly....that's what they do at UAL, and non-commuters love reserve as they get guarantee + a few hours and rarely used.....whereas the commuters get much less SC's and just get the guarantee.

It's a win-win for both sides on reserves....maybe not for the company, but that's what negotiations are for!

I can sit long call at home. (350 mile drive / 18 flights a day)

There is no way I can sit short call..

Typical RES block for me

1 1000 SC
2 nothing
3 2 day MEX trip
4 MEX day 2
5 1000 SC
6 0900 SC.

So yeah.. 3 hours of SC, going into normally golden day, you know I'm not going to be used. They know it too.. (ER so very few 1 day trips leaving that late in the day)
