Ummmm....before the end of April? 😁

Delta2heavy 04-25-2019 11:33 AM

Friday 5pm or next Friday 5pm

notEnuf 04-25-2019 12:03 PM

Do we still think the timing of this AE was to fill April training slots or was it to lock up more pilots for another year? SMH

Delta2heavy 04-25-2019 01:25 PM

Lock up for another year but a huge chunk of them can break that seat lock for first upgrade if desired

I just logged into icrew and it gave me my conversion date as 02JUN19. I don’t know if it’s because it’s about time to bid June already?

Yep, mines listed as 02Jun19 too. I don’t need training though. Just switching bases.

Humboldt 04-25-2019 02:03 PM

Same, just switching bases.

sailingfun 04-25-2019 03:30 PM

All June conversions were posted today.

THE WHOLE LIST IS POSTED. You just have to click on the link for the last AE (25 Jan) "Projected Training link". Good luck!

Delta2heavy 04-25-2019 04:18 PM

Ok to follow up on a earlier question I had asked. I thought all training awards were supposed to be in seniority order in your category and base. I’ll use the example of 717a nyc
There are a couple people junior to me that are training before me. I thought that wasn’t supposed to happen. I know they do this manually and maybe they made a mistake I’m just trying to figure that out before I contact them.

"They" may have deemed your current category has staffing issues and held you back. They can always do so but you will be pay protected once a junior pilot from your AE who requires the same kind of training is converted as a NYC717A.

It's out all "normal-like" now.

I think the seniority list for AE is different from the MD list. Just a guess of what may have happened.

I have the same question. There are 12 people junior to me training and converting before me. I’m not displeased with the timing, but it’s kind of WTF.

Mine is opposite, I want to train when the people junior to me are

22.E.3,4,5 Read that small section and see if it helps.

All the “AE” awards to that category appear in seniority order.

Separately, all the VD/MD displacements off the previous equipment appear in the right order.

Remember, “category” is seat+fleet+base.

I don’t understand what you are seeing. PM if you want.

Did you select "Train after junior" in your AE preference? If not, you will go in seniority order.

The PWA establishes the sequence/order but it also provides a remedy if the company fails to follow the agreed-upon order. In this case, the company must have determined it is willing to pay a higher rate (i.e., the awarded AE position) to a few pilots in order to keep them in place in their current category through the summer months in order to maintain schedule integrity.

Thanks. Should have looked there.

More like “in current category for the entire calendar year”. Honestly, if they want to pay me the new rate to fly my current plane with current seniority, I am totally cool with that forever. 😁

Thank you for the explanation. You made more sense in one paragraph than multiple readings of the PWA.
