I honestly think Delta is going to just abandon NRT and shift those 5 flights over to HND with the new slots. I think the SIN and MNL flights will just go away. Delta is at a big disadvantage in Japan as they don't have a JV partner (While United has ANA and American has JAL). What do you think?

Delta asked for SEA, PDX, DTW, ATL, and HNL x2.
Delta was awarded SEA, PDX, DTW, ATL, and HNL x1.
Coincidently, Delta currently flies to NRT from SEA, PDX, DTW, ATL, and HNL from the US (they also have SIN and MNL).

I think by and large that order is to replaces 763ERs. Obviously not all 56 of them, but at least 35 that warrant upgauging. For now it's literally taking over their routes, not opening up anything new. My guess is 763s earmarked for retirement stick around to cover for 764 and 332/333 interior mod removal from service.

I don't think we (or anybody) do any long haul international out of LGA, SJC, DAL, or DCA but I can't find my paper time table pamphlet either so I guess I'll have to defer to your 21st century perspective.
