Erroneous. You can keep the jacket stripes, that’s it. (And as a former <6 month 88A, I feel that is lame too).

Pin check? The old ALPA “cup check” is significantly more effective. Much harder to pull off in today’s environment

If anything you should be able to keep the wings from then on. The 4 stripes/scrambled eggs should be the first thing to go when someone downgrades.

In the picture that Herc posted the middile of the wings look circular, not triangular.....they sort of look like Compass' wings.

I’m guessing the reason you can keep the blazer stripes has only to do with cheap pilots not wanting to pay for the tailoring. Everything else you already own.

In the olden days of dual qual, you just kept two suits on the pegs near the door.

That may be the "logic" behind it but from a uniform perspective its stupid and should change. If the downgrade was voluntary, then you should have to pay the few dollar tailor fee yourself. If it was a displacement downgrade, expense it. There should never be 4 stripe FO's that's just dumb. Those walking around like that to save a few dollars are just embarrassing themselves.

I don't think Delta has the scab problem that United does thus making the pin less important to Delta pilots.

What does having an ALPA pin do? Wouldn't a scab just wear a pin to avoid conflict?
