Default Arcos

Anyone else tired of Arcos? I put in some specific greenslip parameters to work today and tomorrow (yesterday). Got 3 calls from Arcos yesterday and selected all 3 trips to get 0 of them. Stop calling me if there's not an actual trip available to me.

Seems like they are getting lazy again with the batch sizes. I got called 3 times the other night. Got the 3rd one. I thought in the middle of the night they had agreed to go to batch sizes of 1. Now that you can see where you sit in the queue I’ve seen myself as high as #19 in the pecking order. Not sure if everyone of those got called at the same time or not.

Overall I prefer ARCOS over the old method though.

File FCRs and copy that to an email to your reps.

Where does one view their position in said pecking order?

In ARCOS once you select a trip there is a "Status" tab that will list Pilots in order starting from the #1. No Names or employee numbers and your spot in the list has no number just some symbol which I guess means "You."

The busier a scheduler is the more likely it is he will run a large batch size. We need a contractual limit. I would suggest 5 max from 7AM to 10PM and 3 max overnight.

I don't mind an ARCOS call and not getting the trip, but the batch sizing needs to be reigned in. I don't care how busy scheduling is, as it is, they already have enough relief from the old school method by ARCOS. Anything between 2000 and 0600 should be 1:1 or the old school method of calling.

Why do you think 2 pilots (and presumably their significant others) should be unnecessarily awakened for every 3 AM green slip... and also require them to remain awake for 15-25+ minutes while awaiting an answer?

1:1 is my personal desire for any contact between 2100 and 0600 pilot base time. I needn't disrupt healthy sleep habits unnecessarily because Delta wants to carry inadequate reserves and I want access to premium pay. Why did we concede to this qol hit?

1 for 1 would mean that using ARCOS would take longer than the old method. Sadly we agreed in the last contract to development of a system to speed coverage. There were a bunch of small changes like that from TA1 to TA2. I considered them worthwhile changes to keep the PS and keep it pensionable. Adding the 4th year to the contract being the biggest concession.
