Is it even legal to block out with Mx still working on the plane with what I assume is an open Mx write up? I'm not sure how Delta handles it but my companies would never let us block out with Mx working on something. A lot of details are missing, but it's expected with a sensational article.

It sounds they had the problem after block out and wanted to mx to work in it without blocking in.

Are you sure? I had an A line tell me last week that once the door is closed they are good to complete the leg no matter what, but if it is open and they hit their limit they can walk. We ended up closing the door 10 minutes prior to their drop dead time. So we went. If they had walked the captain and I would have been unable to operate it even with an extension.

The flight family app picture specifically showed the pilots excluded from the message.

Flight attendant duty hours are often laid out in a union contract. Delta flight attendants are not unionized, although the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers is trying to organize them, as well as the company’s ramp agents.

That's not how FF works. You see all communication. You are only notified when it is addressed to you

Snort.

Huffpo? My god. I can't believe Delta even had to respond to that.

I've posted plenty of stupid oofda on the internet that I regret, but nothing on the smell or quantity level that Huffpo produces on a daily basis.

(See: "Huffpo editorial meeting" picture. It's as if every bitter jilted girlfriend and angry ex-wife got together around a table to make up stuff about you. (well, some of it's probably true) Plus, they're all using macs, for gods sake.)

If Joe's news blog had an official company communication, in the internet age, it has the potential of becoming a big deal. Just because you don't like the organization doesn't mean what some of the things the publish aren't true... especially when there is a picture or video involved.

Agreed.

I understand WHY Delta had to respond. I just can't believe that every random post some nutter[s] post on the interwebs can have the same impact as, say, the NYT or a 3 day expose produced by the Miami Herald.

Crazy times.
