Count me in too. I never applied but I can tell by the way they all look at me that they don’t want me in a management job over on the 4th floor. I feel discriminated against.

If you are referring to positive space deviating from DH on the front end, that is a huge pandora's box (and I think what some of the angst is all about). If that is "duty" I've heard nothing of it. You'd think that would be announced in bold letters from multiple agencies. Don't most FedEx guys make a career out of deviating from DH?

At FedEx, on a front end deadhead, it is required to arrive in time to have legal rest before the show time of the flight you’ll be working. I think it’s more of giving scheduling enough time to cover the flight if you have a commuter fail. But it also covers FAR rest requirements.

I am a tree hugging liberal, but that is absolutely correct. Just because you don’t get a bill doesn’t mean you don’t pay for it. If there is one thing my dad thought me that has always proved true:”nothing is free, at best it is included in the price “. I am all for affordable college for people that are capable of getting a college education, but not charging for admission will just increase the amount of people that have no business being there, costing all taxpayers way too much.

Not sure what would confuse a neocon about that...

Plus, tuition has gone up so dramatically as a direct result (charitable to say an unintended consequence) of easy "student loans for all". Whatever the market will bear...

If there ever was a case for "Reparations" it would be colleges to students.

This exactly. No one on that stage last night had any grasp of this basic economic fact.

There has been no downward pressure on tuition for decades. Just free money from the government.

Tuition has out paced inflation by a large margin due to the simple fact the government got involved in the guaranteed loan business with deferred payments, and the fact that this particular debt can’t go away in BK. Change those two conditions and watch tuition get “right sized.”

NOT changing those dynamics, and just charging us taxes on our stock and bond sales is only gonna raise tuition up even more and the entire country will be left to foot the bill. “Oh, but it was free!”

Last night was embarrassing. Beyond embarrassing. These socialist democrats haven’t shared any economic policy, any vision, anything I can get behind and support. It’s literally orange man bad, vote me to get him out and oh here’s free college for your vote! It’s pathetic that they are basically trying to buy votes to win. If these 10 clowns are the best we got, then I’m sorry I’d rather vote for the orange man.

Anyway not to get too political, back to SD and KP’s lawsuit, her books are starting to make a whole lot more sense. I only read the first two and not the last two, but I get it now.

Here's how free college would go:
(Before)
tuition $15,000/year
room & board $7,000/year
(After)
tuition $0/year
room & board $22,000/year

And then the same people will be lining up to finance that, more squeals for subsidized loans, grants and 529 scams to cover it which will be gladly funded as they are today, thus driving up those costs even more, followed by howls of blaming "capitalism" and "greed" and for the government to "do something!" about those new rising costs...

And of course, since unlimited "education"/indoctrination is a "right", and we're moving to fully open borders with instaneous funding of all "rights" including "education" for the tens of millions already here illegally and the absolutely unlimited millions yet to come...
