Default A330 & a350

Hey, I was just wondering how long does it take to upgrade to either the a330 or a350 after completing training at Delta.

Usually about 6 weeks.

If you mean how long after getting hired, it would probably take at least a couple years to hold it in the most junior base. And that can vary quite a bit. I was hired in 15. Coulda been the Dtw plug on the 330 for a while but on this last big bid I could have held 350 and 330 in sea and nyc.

Since you're a Boeing guy, training lasts 6 months, or seems like it.

Varies wildly and way too much flux going on right now. In fact, I'll probably be displaced off the 330 on the next bid. Of course this will change if they do decided to displace off the 330, but right now, I'd be more senior on the 350.

Maybe the occasional delusional newhire thinks that, but I doubt very many think that. I was hired fairly early in this wave and I don't expect to ever my 75/76 Captain since they'll slowly being going to the boneyard. Though I could already hold 73/320A, I don't expect to hold that in base with any seniority prior to 10+ years.
