You all happy with the realignment of the Fidelity 401 choices. Lost the REIT, which has been doing well. I believe many companies have been streamlining the plans, probably to save $$.

401k choices have been getting worse since the late 90s. My first 401k had 45 funds to choose from and no lifecycle funds which have double management fee levels. The previous funds were retail funds which generated management fees for fidelity. They are effectively moving choice to the brokerage link where fidelity makes money on transactions. I’m sure there’s incentive for Delta, probably reduced cost.

I'm happy with the index funds on Fidelity. My 401k is entirely made up of the index funds. They are extremely low cost. I think the s&p fund is a 0.01% expense ratio.

This plus brokeragelink is all you need. If you want to own individual stocks you can. It could be risky in the later years of your career but through brokeragelink, you can buy any index fund or mutual fund that exists. The fund options for the Delta Pilot Savings Plan, or whatever it’s called these days, is inconsequential. The Brokeragelink gives us the ability to trade any and all investment vehicle available on any exchange.

Reviving this thread just cause I’m curious if anyone else has been watching our stock prices drop and been wondering what management is thinking of their buyback move now.

They're probably thinking they should buy more because it's an even better deal now!

I find senior management never really talks about when they screw the pooch except when it buys some goodwill from a pilot group. Mid contract negotiations? They can do no wrong, and they cant spare anything more and we're too greedy as it is.

Since the stock isn’t wildly outside of the general market trend, probably not

Management compensation in based on a formula including EPS, so they made their money on the buybacks already.
