Optics mean a lot....
If a CEO repeatedly encourages his employees to petition their congressmen/women on a particular subject like the ME3 but then he, the LEADER of the company, blows off a meeting with the one person who can do something about it........optics........it doesn’t look good and basically tells his employees he doesn’t really care about the issue.
I’m like JB. The next time the company (CEO) ask me to write my congressmen/women........I think I’ll be on vacation...

So when they ask me to email xyz in support of xyz, I don’t do it anymore. Learned that from the LGA slot swap fiasco...
Someone in a previous post nailed it...Sleepy Ed in his designer tennis shoes is just really in the right spot at the right time, along for the ride...I am hoping he doesn’t screw this place up before he cashes his golden parachute off into the sunset. History will judge the stock buybacks as folly when we are cash starved some day without jet bridge a/c or power and we really need money to make the ends meet.

What does that have to do with our CEO not doing his job? In my mind part of his job is to meet with government regulators to get policy change in our favor....and he was absent for a family vacation. Nope couldn’t send another top man...just didn’t give sh!t enough to send anyone....

They're still trying to blame ME3 changing Trumps America first speeches and Trumps choice to let Al Baker into ME3 damages meeting on Obama. The pres honked us, but the faithful have to blame it on Obama or the email server or else their worlds will tumble down.

I am not talking about our president, I am talking about our CEO not meeting with the president. It would not matter who was president, Red Blue or purple...if there are airline CEO s meeting to influence policy, our CEO should of been there.

Interesting about wanting to buy Greenland. It is rich in mineral deposits. Twice before, the US wanted to buy it.
In 1867, President Andrew Johnson (D) tried to buy it. They were not successful. They did succeed in buying Alaska (Seward’s Folly).
In 1946, President Harry Truman (D) tried to buy it. They were not successful, either.
Nothing new under the sun. Hmmm...

Plus didn't we buy some islands from them and rename them the US Virgin islands?
Alaska?
Louisiana Purchase?
They lose money carrying it and we pay to defend it (and them) anyway.
Maybe what was really being said was "that's some nice NATO welfare you're bilking us out of for generations so you can spend that money on social welfare programs...be a shame if anything were to happen to it..."

Personally, I think Greenland is making Trump look bad by melting so fast. "What? Something I don't control is getting more attention than me? We should definitely spend more money we don't have so that I can control it!" That guy is a moron.
