You need to work on choosing options for polling. You made the choices "yes I would do them for less" and "no because I don't like them regardless." No options for anyone who doesn't have those specific views. That makes this poll useless.

I'd honestly rather do them than these redeye's followed by 12 hours in a hub during the day and a flight out that night, but I am not very big on this idea of reducing the pay for them.

Hell NO however don't kid yourselves...these trips would go UBER senior here. You could do 2 of these a week and credit 84 hours a month. Rarely would they fall to reserves. People would love to pick whatever was left over in a White Slip.

As previous posters have said though it would definitely cut into the "quality" of other trips.

You wouldn't be able to do two a week and credit anywhere near 84 hours. The company would only want these if they paid 6.5 hours as a special carve-out. Two a week equals 52 hours a month. Three a week equals 78.

Another reason not to want them.

Thats only assuming they are worth 10:30. Not going to happen. It's a non-issue.

I *think* we are saying the same thing.

I'm all for stand ups with the current language enhanced that if they include then in the bid package no more than 600nm flights. Stand ups to CAE/BNA/AGS etc for 10:30 pay would go extremely senior. In fact, the 717 would overnight becoming a hot commodity during the AE process.

Whether one wants to fly leanovers is but one consideration. Here are the questions I have... and think we should have answers to before supporting/fighting PWA language concerning them:

1. What will a standup trip actually look like?
2. How would the bid package for each standup-operating category be affected?
3. How will the bid packages for other categories be affected?
4. How many jobs will be lost?
5. How will premium pay opportunities be affected, particularly during IROPS?
6. How will reserve pilots be affected?
7. How much credit will the company save by using alternative language?
8. How many fewer rotations might we all have that start and/or end in DH?

We already have them, they pay as a 2 day. If they were allowed for line holders ten we would be forced to do them because PBS would plug them in anywhere 10:30 (or whatever the negotiated value ends up being) gets you closer to the threshold.
