Regional guy and DAL applicant here.

Can I get me some of that “bad” flying you all are experiencing? Oh, yes, and the pay to go with it, please:p

I know your response is (mostly) tongue-in-cheek, but the sentiment gets old. Yes, it’s wonderful here at Delta. The fact is that, almost 100% of the time, a pilot’s last job was worse than their current job. If there was a “next level” job after Delta, Delta pilots would be applying for it. There isn’t though, so Delta pilots have no choice but to try to make their job better. That doesn’t happen without pointing out the less-than-optimal aspects of the job. When you get here, you’ll do it too.

The union keeps telling me how amazing it is at United and FedEx. If all we do is look for next level jobs, how come no one is leaving after a few years to go there?
