I spoke with a ramper during my last JFK walkaround. Charlie Mo was a much-loved guy and sorely missed.

Very sad. Hopefully lessons can be learned and applied to the entire industry to help prevent things like that in the future.

Thank you for sharing that.

Word has it they TDY’d in all ramp staff from other bases so the JFK ramp could attend his funeral.

Seconded, thanks for sharing. I donated a small amount, and it looks like the go fund is up to 30k for his family...not a lot of money but I am sure every little bit will help. Rest In Peace.

Can someone confirm the gofundme is legit or does anyone know if there a better way to donate?

I have it on good authority - 100% legit with 100% going to the family.

BeechPilot33 08-22-2019 02:49 PM

Tragic sorry to hear.

sailingfun 08-22-2019 03:16 PM

I confirmed it with the CP’s office and posted that on page 1.

Prayers don't lose meaning just because you don't believe in them. Some ego you have jerky.

Bon Jovi
"Woah, we're half way there
Woah, livin' on a prayer
Take my hand, we'll make it I swear
Woah, livin' on a prayer"

Bet you feel dumb hu!

Boy that was a good laugh that I needed. :D

Hell, even Madonna made a ton off of prayer:

Just like a prayer, you know I’ll take you there.

I was just trying to lighten the mood because it looked like after a coworkers death someone was gonna start spouting off about the efficacy of prayer which just leads to a religious debate, a denate that has no value or no end.

If anyone hasnt donated consider doing it now, money doesnt fix everything but it fixes a lot.

Anyone know if this was also a Delta employee? No airline mentioned in the article.

ATLANTA - Atlanta police say an employee at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport was killed this week in what appears to be a freak accident on the tarmac.

The operator of a bag loader vehicle was backing the machine up to the opening of an airplane on Wednesday. Police say as he did, the victim, operating as a spotter, became caught between the vehicle and the airplane.

Police said the victim was transported to Grady Hospital where he later died.

No charges are expected, police say.
