I am aware that JS and Nonrev are different.

I read your post and 'read into' it that you must have been referring to the JS since that is what folks have been discussing over on the UAL thread...1,000+ post strong and counting. Everyone is calling it a JS war, not a non-rev war.

Appoligies for the lack of reading comprehension on my part.

Yeah that certificate action is asinine.

Like the FAA is going to care, when its CA's discrection anyway. You could have 10 JS's listed (assume full flight) and the CA can say "nope" to 1-7, take #8 and be on their way and the FAA is not going to care, ever, unless you "bypassed" an FAA inspector of course.

The FAA is never, ever going to interject themselves as JS war enforcers that's just stupid.

Hat policy is in the FOM too. See how fast this myth gets stupid?

JS or non rev? No CA ever has the authority to deny a NR without an extenuating circumstance (like wearing a thong and crocs etc) and if they did they would get into massive trouble.

I know a Captain who left two non revs in NCE after one put a finger in his chest stating he knew his rights. The two S4’s bought tickets home!

Not sure why you quoted me....gloopy is the one that said Capts can’t deny non-revs.
