The management here is run by numbers focused people. The company just declared record profits.
Everyone knows what they said but if a person actually believes that they are going to change a thing while making said record profits, they are probably going to be disappointed.
If they are not hiring over replacement numbers, next summer will be exactly like this one.

And it doesn't look like it’s getting fixed any time soon. Sure they are finally bringing in NHs but they will allow others to leave. I think the company is going to be in a bad way with staffing the B side on both the 320 and 73 for a while. Training can only handle so many and I thought we maxed that out a year ago.

From JG’s memo:
“We’re reducing split rotations. Base staffing imbalances combined with training constraints resulted in the use of
split rotations to balance available reserve levels across the system. Going forward, we will use split rotations as little as possible, reducing the volume of change in an FDP.”
So, technically, if they’ve reduced the number of split pairings by exactly one, well they’ve met their stated goal of “reducing.”

Pilots when asked if a smooth landing is ideal:
“Well, yes, but there are other considerations which might make other actions ideal for the circumstances”
Also pilots, when told full-kitting is sometimes ideal:
“Why aren’t we eliminating split pairings entirely?”

Smugness is not an attractive character trait.
