Delta Skymiles Gold Amex employee deal
Has anyone received the regular Skymiles Gold Amex, and later added your employee info to get the annual fee waived?
At the moment, the regular Skymiles Gold Amex has the first year annual fee ($95) waived (for any applicant), and a 60,000 mile bonus after $2000 in purchases within 3-mos.
The Skymiles Gold Amex through the employee perks page advertises annual fee waived, however only a 30,000 mile sign-on bonus after $500 in purchases within 3-mos.
The employee perks page states the following:
"DO YOU CURRENTLY HAVE THE EMPLOYEE CLASSIC CARD OR THE GOLD DELTA SKYMILES® CREDIT CARD?
Call the customer service number on the back of your Card and request your Card account be transferred to the no-annual fee Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card for Delta employees. You are not eligible for this limited time offer if you transfer your existing Card."
It seems self-explanatory, but wanted to hear any real-life experiences with transferring an existing card, since the sign-on bonus for non-employees is more appealing.
Unfortunately:
Effective January 30, 2020:
Delta Sky Club® Access will no longer be available on the Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card.
Yes, there is a "money" subforum, but nobody reads it...
