Default Does AFA Vote Hurts DALPA Negotiations?

Looking to see what thoughts are on this theory.

With an upcoming card drive from AFA, could we see Delta make a concerted effort to delay getting an DALPA deal done, in an effort to create an image to the FA’s that union negotiations ‘only lead to delays in receiving raises.’

The theory is, that if Delta and DALPA get to an agreed contract with workrule and financial gains for the membership, that would only further entice the FA’s to organize. Delta does not want that to happen, and thus will drag their feet with DALPA as long as possible.

Thoughts?

Hush! Management never thought of that, and was about to give the pilots a windfall contract. Now they’ll read your post and really drag their feet.

They always give the flight attendants a bunch of the stuff we negotiate. They will do the same to keep them happy. The attempts to unionize the flight attendants are never ending.

I hope they do organize, it's not a bad thing.
And at the end of the day though, let them negotiate and not ride our coattails. We'll support them regardless.

If they do unionize it will be very interesting to see if they pull their profit sharing our from under them and say something along the lines of: you can have it back when you negotiate it into your FWA.

This is exactly what would happen. The company is looking for any excuse to draw down PS.

Nope. I hold a MBA, run a successful small business and fly airplanes. I accidentally typo’d an extra “s” in to the title, and due to an inability within the forum to edit the title after submission I was unable to correct the typo. On a glorified ***** board.

I was significantly more careful during my thesis.

But I am glad you can contribute to the discussion. Your input was highly beneficial in the assessment. Don’t know where we would all be without you. Thank you
