A350’s LATAM info

Tech Ops rumor.... The 4/A350’s coming next year will not be reconfigured and all flown south to support LATAM deal.

That is all....

Wouldn’t that be refreshing.

FWIW maintenance knows way before we do in almost all cases. Lots of logistics.

How different is the LATAM config from what we currently have on our 350s?

I had a crew resources manager in my flight recently. When I asked about the LATAM 350s he mentioned they were trying to figure out if/when they would be reconfigured.

I've found they give the worst information. That huge fleet of 767 freighters has yet to show up, haha.

That being said, sounds like they want to get them online ASAP and not go through the long refurbish.

If I had to guess they would be refreshed next winter, if the rumored spring deliveries are true Delta is not going to want them sitting out the summer getting refurbished, one might get work done before the summer season starts probably after the last 777 refurb, but while another configuration and them probably not being up to brand standards is going to drive marketing crazy, finance is going to like the idea of parking expensive assets in the busy season even less. Besides they have a Qatar interior right now their not going to be that bad from a paxex point of view.

The prevailing rumor I’ve heard is that we will do a quick cosmetic update once we get them (seat covers, logos, etc) so we can use them right away. The lead time for our interior is 6-12 months apparently and I heard recently they’ve been ordered.

I wonder if the Latam planes' forward galley is big enough to walk through without turning sideways? FA's would love that.
