Delta Propel Interview

Hi everybody,

I am trying to find some information about Propel interview and what kind of questions to expect, but so far I couldn't find any gauge. I am curious if anybody have an insight about this interview or went through the interview with a good or bad outcome.

Does the interview consist technical subjects or more focused on the HR topics and tell me when... type of a questions?

If you can help me and wanna share your experience please send me a message.

Every bit of help is highly appreciated!

Join the RST Facebook group. It sounds like it’s an interview designed for a college kid as opposed to a an higher experienced candidate. Testing would come later .

Actually, minus technical stuff, it’s just like the Street pilot interview. RST, emerald coast, etc etc will prep well.

No it’s nothing like the street interview it’s going to involve situations mostly if not all non aviation related and relating to school. A lot of moral scenarios. Testing is done before the interview you have to pass the personality exam and motor skills before being invited to the interview. RST would not help for this study deltas rules of the road and core principles. Good luck!

Ok. I guess I don’t know what I’m talking about. Or maybe I do. Whatever.

Maybe the original poster needs to specify what version of propel they are talking about.

Thanks for all the replies. Just to clarify I am talking about the College Path and as AnotherUNDer mentioned, you have to pass the cognitive and personality test for being invited to the interview and I passes those already.

I am studying about the Delta rules and core values as well as the history of the company. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks for posting this question, OP, as I also would like to receive some gouge on the Delta Propel Collegiate Pilot Career Path on-campus interview.

I am a fresh private pilot from a Part 141 aviation college who has also passed the preliminary testing (computer-based cognitive personality tests that you mentioned) and also received the invitation to the on-campus interview.

As someone who just barely got their feet wet into the industry, any insight into this college-type interview is greatly appreciated.

Read How To Land A Top Paying Airline Job by Rick Hogan. Short read but excellent information in there and does a great job preparing you for both the HR and technical portions, but for this type of interview sounds like you won’t need to study the tech stuff.

Delta Propel Interview

Hi everyone! I'm very new to the site, so please bear with me. Trkplt, How did the opportunity workout for you ? I came across this conversation while researching online to see if anyone had a similar situation to mine. I applied to the Delta Propel Program, and two weeks later, my application was selected. Two weeks after that, I was invited to take part in several tests, and two weeks after that, I received an email saying "congratulations..." and was invited to an online interview. Unfortunately, I got extremely sick, and regretfully, I asked to reschedule the interview with an urgent care letter attached to the email, which the Skyborn selection process team honored. A lady replied to me and said that rescheduling is the correct thing to do and will get back to me soon with a different date. Three weeks went by, and I didn't receive anything back from them, so I got nervous and worried. I emailed the lady back just to check in and see if there's anything on my end that was needed. My email was replied to right away with an automated "I'm out for the week and will get back to you when I return" email on a Thursday. The Monday after that, I was emailed by the Skyborn team with what seemed to also be an automated type of email saying "congratulations... you have passed the test...and we will be reaching out to you with an interview date and time soon.. We look forward to meeting you in the interview". It's been two weeks since that email with no reply of a new interview date. I was super excited to do the interview and now I'm worried that I lost my opportunity to get an interview by rescheduling. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? Was it a bad move on my part to reschedule the interview? Should I email them again to check in? I'd love to get some honest views and opinions on this from you guys who have more experience than I do.

P.S- I appreciate you guys taking the time to read this!

Thank you!!!

I've not had any experience with the Propel interview process, but from other interviewing experience, it's never a good idea to interview when you're under the weather. Interviewing is stressful and you need to be 100%. It's better to reschedule and be at the top of your game for any interview.

In most cases, if you made it through the testing/selecting phases to the interview invite, the position is generally yours-to-lose.

If it were me I'd email them back and do a polite 'checking in' email. Personnel shuffle around and just in case the person originally handling your packet/application has moved on to a new position your packet may have slipped through the cracks. It seems like the two- week mark is reasonable.
