For a 17 year old, you have put in an impressive amount of research and to have your path mapped out to the detail that you do shows that you are motivated to make it happen. All I'm saying is don't get discouraged if your path takes a little longer than planned, because life is not always so linear. Best of luck to you!

Thank you very much for the motivation and support, Im exactly looking to get there around the age 25, but as you said the odds are tough and might take a longer than plan. I appreciate it, thank you.

Skywest or Endeavor are not bad options. Myself and a lot of coworkers at Skywest are moving quickly over to Delta. I got my interview right before my 3 year mark. Granted all of us took first upgrade too. Something someone didn't suggest and I'm not sure if it played a role or not, look for job on the ramp/Gate with Delta at the Kalamazoo airport. Possibly through DGS. I did that in college for a few years and that experience as a gate agent and ramp agent was very invaluable when I got in the cockpit. It also helped give me a few more points and was a big talking point in my interview, and helped me graduate college a early as it was "internship" hours.

Good luck on the path. I have about 5 personal friends (2 from WMU) right now all of us waiting to go to class at age 25 right now. Times are great right now.

Thank you very much. I’ll try to get a job at Kalamazoo airport witch should help me get a little experience with the airlines. Also now I'm considering Endeavor as one of my top choices at the regional. Thanks a lot.

The current Propel candidates at Endeavor should make it to Delta by age 23,24,25.
What a difference a decade makes, $70K starting at Endeavor, to probably $300K by the time they are 30 at Delta. Now is the time to be in aviation.

That's good to hear. They are going to have one hell of a career. Thanks for the update.

Now everyone posting on this thread can put mentoring high school kids down as volunteer work.

It’s a joke.

Every single one of us was where you are. It will happen if you want it bad enough. Good luck.

Am I the only one whose brain keeps changing the title to "rerouted by Delta Air Lines" every time I skim past this thread?
