I really enjoyed https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/58551407-los-angeles-is-hideous
. I don't read poetry, but this is funny enough i kept reading it. Its a libertarian comedian who spent a whole book joking/insulting about how much the city sucks. I know its weird, it isnt my cup of tea, but some NY FO left it out in the crew room to take and i kept it afterwards. Hes got a sci fi short story one too.

“Candide,” by Voltaire. That kind of wit is timeless and apparently comes from drinking 40 cups of coffee a day. A true genius and ahead of his time.

You will lol.

I agree. Both of those are great reads. A little less mainstream, Hyperion fits well in that sci-fi genre

Hyperion is a special type of amazing. That guy has to be the most hyper literate savant in scifi.

Great read for anyone who has flown the Atlantic. Tiger in the Sea is the book name by Eric Lindbergh.
Thanks Sailing, can’t wait to read. Picked up for free from the library (gasp). Slight correction, Eric Lindner is the author.

It was unlike anything I've ever read in such an incredible way.
