What? Standard investment allocation should have those with less than 5 years until retirement about 10% in equities. Besides, the S&P and Nasdaq are just about even for the year. If they can’t retire in the next 5, they won’t be able to at all.

Can you point me in the direction of this strategy allocation. Thanks. Any references .

I'm 60 and knew right away this is just flame bait or ignorance.

Let this thread die.

You beat me to it. Well said.

Most pilots at the end of their careers expect to be captains, WB captains at that. Everything, including 401k contributions is calculated off that. You think a downgrade and 40% income hit at the very peak of their golden years isn't a big deal?

I don't find an age 67/68 give to people really caught out by this to be a massive loss. There will still be retirements from guys who are ready to go.

DAL has tons of young pilots with 25-30 years left. They're going to get their turn at a great career too. It's really disappointing how anxious they are to push the old pilots out the door.

How much is enough? Just a little bit more.

Lol, what a bunch of a-holes right? These young millennial snowflakes bastards should be honored to sit on the street for an extra 4 years To get you more money in your pocket. What is this world coming to? No respect for the older generations these days.
I won’t mind:
moving, taking kids out of private school, not going on vacation, downgrading/eliminating car expenses, etc etc.........easy. GFY
