Default Fleet plan specifics?

So maybe I missed it but has anyone heard more specifics on the fleet plan. Retiring 88/90, 777, planning on flying half of the 717 fleet going is all factored into the bid. But what else? 320s, ER retirements? Timing of resuming deliveries of new aircraft?

They didn’t mention any more on the way too short town hall yesterday. Can’t be late to get home to their scotch and steak dinners.

BS said that 737 will be reactivating faster, taking medium haul and Maddog back fill.
Hence 320 getting bigger axe.

i guess I was looking for a longer range fleet plan - like when Resuming deliveries. Haven’t heard but it would help in deciding what to bid. This bid covers staffing for next summer but if you take a VD you’re locked for 2 years and love to have more information before committing.

I seriously doubt given the nature of this event that kind of information will be forthcoming anytime in the next 6 months. Things are simply to fluid. Treatment or no treatment? vaccine or no vaccine? Second Wave? Then you have to determine the damage to state of the economy, willingness of the public to travel ect..

If you've been researching the events over the past 3 weeks, I think the public is ready to get back on with life. There is proof of it everywhere.

"Second wave" - that's a media term. Even so, the people are not falling for the charade again. They will fly on planes, they want to right now, just can't seem to get on Delta planes for some reason.....or competition is happy to oblige.

Damaged economy - that's the big one. Depends on the actions of politicians in the next 6-12 months whether this turns into depression 2.0. If that happens, I wouldn't be worried about who is UNA or getting furloughed - there won't be an airline.

Yet CT Gov. Announced yesterday that barbershop's and salons can't open on Wednesday as planned, because it's just not safe. I guess I could fly to Atlanta for a haircut.

Come on down. Go to great clips. No masks. By anyone. Feels normal again. People talk to each other too. That's nice.

But I did see where the New Jersey Governor said "Until a proven vaccine is widely available, we cannot firmly enter the “new normal,” when life will once again return to all our workplaces, downtowns, and main streets."

Florida is going to double in size.
