Default 5/18 Town Hall

Well that was discouraging, from what BS said, a lot of us can expect the big F word notification by 9/1 on top of other things on the call.

But they never said it according to JL...

That townhall was a big time waster. They had no intention of being upfront. Not sure why I thought it would be different. We are effectively retreating into the Atlanta fortress until 2022.

Im an idiot. 13000 active is where the cuts start. Not new info. He didn’t hint at much.

Based on the AE and napkin math, anywhere from 2300-4000 in first wave. 14,700-10,700 positions available is 4000. Subtract non-active pilots and early retirements if there are any and it's probably closer to 2300.

Hire till furlough, furlough till hire.

Im guessing 500-700 pilots will hit the street in Oct, then 75-100 a month until May. Then maybe we will see some recalls by October 2021.

While I get its napkin math and all, what you're saying is 1700-1900 furloughs or less, with the senior most only out for 2 months.

don’t you think the company could lay off more initially, since they will have four (3?) months to start training displaced pilots and a massive portion of the fleet is already parked?
