They already admitted it was a mistake to not offer the EO sooner. Now that they have, I don't get your argument.

I would review the history of the last time we furloughed. Furloughs were not prevented but the clause definitely helped a large number of pilots.

First time in my life I’ve seen actual airline compliance with the WARN Act-I’d imagine other work groups are about to get furlough notices in large numbers as well. I thought it was about as enforceable as the Logan Act. Good for Delta. (No sarcasm at all)
Also, no concessions. Furloughs are an ugly reality in this business...at least everyone has had months to prepare.
