2558
Per the email JL sent out looks like 2558 hostages will be taken to try and extract concessions from the pilot group. As one of those I hope we tell them to pound sand. A no furlough clause didn't help last time and it won't help this time.

Deferred with interest and protected from bankruptcy is what it would take for me to consider it.

Wow, hostages is a tough term for where we find ourselves now. We're flying 20% of our schedule now and probably overmanned by about 5K

Wow, hostages is a tough term for where we find ourselves now. Delta has a legit(I think) need for probably about 10K pilots right now and are trying to stay out of BK. Furlough sucks and no I didn't experience it, but it is a legal and probably short term reasonable business decision. Again it sucks for anyone getting furloughed but to characterize it as "hostage taking" is a bit harsh.....

The bid was a worst-case scenario, not a mistake at all.
