Get a baerly used C7 still under warranty for less than a new RF. Hits all the same marks: 50/50 weight distribution, manual, comparable mileage, better ride if you get the magnehetorical shocks, targa top, and 250 more hp.:p

I was looking around for a used 2019 ND and found this up in the SEA area.
https://seattle.craigslist.org/skc/c...158228892.html What do you guys think? I think it’s overpriced but this 30th anniversary edition is almost impossible to find. It’s over my budget anyway. The seller won’t budge on the price. I have a problem spending this much for something that’s gonna sit in the garage. But, this one is rare and a beauty. |

Go drive a Camaro SS 1LE. You will be impressed. Probably the best chassis I have ever driven.

It is a great combo of features and a unique color that you don't get on any other trim level tho. All the convenience and safety items from the GT plus the performance items from the Club, plus unique wheels etc. I really like the Recaro seats but some people think they're too narrow and firm. I love my 30AE, but you have to decide if it's worth it to you. |

Then you’ve never driven a Lotus. Utterly divine chassis and handling.
A new SS Camaro 1 LE can be had for under $45k. Rides nice in town. There is nothing in its league with that kind of performance. It will run with a Carrera 4S or a Cayman all day. Only a tick slower then a Cayman GT4. All the other cars I owned were what I expected. I walked away from the SS 1LE saying no way is that almost a 4000lb car. Completely shocked. Easiest of the cars I have driven to drive hard. Predictable and won’t bite you at the limit. Same chassis on the Cadillac ATS-V. |

I haven’t driven an Elise but I have driven a 7. Fabulous car. In this genre of cars I have owned a 280Z, RX7, 90 Miata, a Cooper S, and a BRZ over the years. All great cars in their own right. Best performer of those; the BRZ. An Elise is not a good comparison. Not really a car you can drive every day nor would you want to or for great periods of time from every review I have read.

Great thread. Now help me with my decision since I’m about to order a 2020. Soft top or RF (Retractable Fastback)? It’s not going to be a Daily Driver BTW.

Now THAT is a sports car...
