Recency Strategies
With things slowing down so much I would imagine we're about to have a lot of people in need of bounces for recency, including the narrowbody fleets. I'm currently approaching this situation. I have less than 500 hours in type so I'm ineligible for an extension, and I'm sure there are MANY others in this boat since we've had a lot of training going on right before everything came to a halt.
As a former Mad Dog driver that re-upped recency every day I went to work, what are some strategies, if any, for giving days of availability to the company? Just wondering if any of the widebody folks have any tips.
Also, should we expect to see the company just start letting people's recency lapse and just stay home?

My recency has been expired for a month now. Called the ER planner this week and he said there's about 200 people in line for a sim to either re-establish or maintain recency. My early month for CQ is July - he said it's very possible I might just re-establish when I go to CQ.

My landing recentcy expires for my current category 2 June. The training for my new category is on hold with a 2 June conversion date. So I’m screwed all around. I won’t be current in either category. Just waiting on being displaced.

yoooooo, hey man, are you saying for bounces? I emailed the guy (his initials are PD to make sure we are talking about the same guy) and heard crickets. My question is, are you trying to get bounces in the ER and they said there are 200 people in front of you? If so when did your currency expire? Thanks
Not 200 people in front of me just around 200 total. He didn't check to see where I was in the line.
