Default September AE

Just because we needed it!

Anyway, VEOP numbers are in. Furloughs are still unknown. Network projections unknown. Time to start guessing about next AE and passing on rumors.

Looking at ATL 737 retirements in Sept (because that is what impacts me) I’m projecting the need for some more A’s. Guessing there may be some B to A reinstatement’s, but also some new 73A’s. On the B side, not enough retirements to have any significant number of positions posted, but would expect some backfilling. Possible UNA reinstatement’s?

With the sudden change to the seniority list on 1 Sept, even a fairly small AE might have interesting results.

Last topic, when is it actually posted?? I think they will want 1 Oct conversions and back it up from there. I also don’t think that is a timeline they can meet. They will be lucky to even post the AE in sept.

1) Take the PROJ CAT LIST from the MOAD (Updated 30 JUN.)
2) See what seats the VEOP's are vacating.
3) There is your AE.

They announced they were waiting for an updated plan from Network. It seems like a lot of international resumption announced on Deltanet today. Probably 330, 765 and 7ER out of ATL and NYC.

But at the same time they announced in a recent Town Hall that we would be 60% the size of 2019 next summer vs the previous 80%. Maybe the narrowbodies will see some cuts.

This and $5 will get you a cup of coffee from Starbucks.

When did Starbucks lower their prices?

I think it will be out Monday or Tuesday. They need to start training yesterday.

I listened to that part where JL mentions a percentage but he actually says we’ve gone from down 20% to down 40% “and everything in between”... it’s a moving target.

I took that the same way.

I also agree they need to have this out for 1 Oct, and will back up the timelines from there. Non MD is 15 days notice of conversion, correct? With 4-5 days to compute, that would put close out by the 10th, so publish O/A 1 Sept? Seems doable, especially if you consider they have known daily what the revocations changes have been...

I suspect we’ll see some shuffling of domestic domiciles:

- 717 consolidation in ATL/sun setting?
- reduction in NYC?
- new A220 base?

Maybe it’s too early to start reshaping for a post-pandemic world, but we’ll definitely look different in the next few years.
