Are you kidding me? NO it is not the same logic! 1,500 of the VEOP takers are now gone. As of Sep 1st. They don't have a vote anymore. Those who are UNA do have a vote right now. They are still active pilots until furloughed. The VEOP takers who haven't retired yet are still active and therefore should have a vote too.

BTW I am ,and always have been a proponent in letting furloughees vote on contracts. Not in the PWA but I have been putting on my contracts survey since 1991.

Clearly not.
It’s so predictable though. It starts with “social media isn’t a good indication of the will of the pilot group, we need to poll” the. Polling produces the same results “well they didn’t ask everyone” even though it’s statistically valid

Not to pick nits, but do you really think social media is a good indicator of the will of the pilot group? I left CC because it certainly wasn't.
Got no problem with the ALPA polls (they do need to have a totally neutral option though). I would like to assume they they don't just have a secretary dream up questions and answer to ask and employ proper and relevant "tools" when crafting the survey

[QUOTE=Gone Flying;3136926]Bump.
UAL passed their TA
58% yes
42% no
they avoided furloughs til June 1
Out of the majors, I believe that just leaves DL, AA, Frontier, and Allegiant still furloughing pilots.[/QUOTE
how long before the “we didn’t think they would do that” starts?

United can still furlough. This protects nothing. All the UA pilots did was give UAL some cost savings. The cost to the pilot group remains to be seen. I think we've seen this record play before. Thanks for starting a race to the bottom.
