777 fleet is going away, mentioned again by PJ as part of the fleet simplification.

Over the last ten years? Its still American airlines as far as I know. Where are you sourcing your numbers from? Is your source trying to count regional airline hiring in the mix for the last ten years of delta hiring?

I think at the Big-3 level alot was replacing retirements which had occurred or were pending in the future. Big-3 "added cities" mostly via regional partners flying planes pained in the brand name of airline, versus flying Boeings and Airbuses into new cities. maybe they got a few new cities here and there, but not like huge growth except Spirit, Frontier, etc some of those players. SWA had some Hawaii and other growth.

my uneducated assessment

Just over 12,000 post-merger. We contracted to 10,700ish in 2012, then started expanding. What was our high water mark this year-14,700?

So after we furlough 1721 we will have hired the least on that list? Wow.

I guess it's been a while since I've been through those numbers. Thanks for doing the work.

Not if United furloughs 3900 and American furloughs 1600 as planned thus far.
