Based on what Ive gleaned from lurking, dont think this requires MEMRAT since the measures are all voluntary. But the (sure to be turd sandwich of a) proposal which we may see shortly potentially mitigating all furloughs WILL go to vote.

My understanding FWIW

I’d like to know how the company tied 220 saves to this LOA. They have no idea how many takers they will get for each option. Seems arbitrary.

In my opinion this TA is a huge letdown. Some may say it’s better than nothing but let’s not forget the opportunity cost. The reality is the company is saving a huge amount of money with this. We could have negotiated for way more than 220 saved, as well as way longer than 2 months. Not to mention only 25/35 hour lines. It’s honestly kind of embarrassing when compared to the industry standard 50 hour lines.
This....SWA/UA were somewhere around 50-55 hour SILs...I’d imagine a very small take rate in 25/35 hr “SIL”

They probably got sick of us asking how they are going to keep the A220 flying with the furloughs. So they said "you want the 220 flying? Here is 220 that will keep flying"

So they “may offer” them. So what? Before this LOA it was a hard no offer. What are we voluntarily giving up here?
The turd sandwich is whatever comes part 2 from the union, if at all. My guess is we’re still furloughing either way.
I was surprised this LOA had even half of these options.
Take the small victory, 1 more month of no furlough, 2 more months for the 220.

No GS trigger on reserve because it pays single. PB days instead.

My guess is holiday staffing issues. They needed them anyway so they tied it to this.

Bingo..Ed isn't going to do anything for "goodwill" toward the pilot group unless he benefits from it..They need the pilots. I doubt they will furlough many, if any pilots at all.
