One thing to consider is that if they change a carry out trip you have no protection. You only get paid what the new trip is worth. So your 10 hours of carry out time may become 5 hours ... or zero. But you can swap into a higher time trip too.
This is true up until 1800E on the 4th of the month prior.

Any Dec to Jan spillover rotations have their January guarantee locked in after Dec 4th 1800E.
