At least the false psychological feeling of "doing something" flying the barber pole to theoretically shave off 2 minutes, even assuming that doesn't close the gap enough to make ATC slow you sooner anyway. I'm one of the most pro-commuter pilot out there. But sometimes commuters can get silly about things like that. this. It’s all about getting off the gate and off the ground early. |
I love flying max speed on a transcon so a commuter can waste 1500lbs of fuel to get 2 mins more ground time :rolleyes:

The commuter comment might have been referring to the number of Jumpseats available in the future if dal replaces 320’s with 73’s.
