Damn. Didn't know we had so many socialists here at the big D. Why should I take a pay hit to fund $5k per month per pilot plus medical and DC? Some who have never turned a wheel and may never come back. Oh that's right, millennials are entitled to being taken care of. All I have to do to is pick up an extra trip to make up for it right?...more time away from my family. The company should pay for this, not the pilot group. I've given plenty over my 20 plus years here. Don't be sore at me for voting no. Look at your company and your "representation".

Because of that, the contract already has a provision to reduce the TLV. So your choices are really this:
1. Furlough 1700+ pilots, and the TLV is reduced because of the furlough.
2. Ratify LOA 20-04, the TLV is reduced, all those pilots get the 30 hours a month and more, AND we get a host of contractual improvements. They are ALL improvements by the way. Guys were correctly complaining that raising the TLV in C2012 was a concession. Now they're complaining because it is being reduced? Lower GS trigger--win. ARCOS for WS, and more importantly, next day WS are now proffers--win. PS for commuting--huge win, and I don't even commute.
I would vote for this LOA if there was no furlough mitigation at all (even though the entire point of this one is furlough mitigation). The NC did a stellar job.
Or you can vote no, hope everyone else does, have all those guys hit the street, STILL get a TLV reduction, with zero contractual improvements.
I wish we had had the "outside the box" thinking back when you were furloughed. We just didn't. Now we do and I salute the NC and MEC for getting us these past three LOAs.

From Meriam Dictionary. A Labor Union ...”an organization of workers formed for the purpose of advancing its members' interests in respect to wages, benefits, and working conditions.” Members is plural for a reason. The Union looks out for everyone, not just you.
